Port Louis: un parcours historique et culturel

Aujourd'hui nous avons passé la journée à Port Louis, en commençant par la visite du Blue Penny Museum. Ce musée met en avant l'histoire de l'île maurice ainsi que celle de Paul et Virginie, les célèbres personnages de Bernardin de Saint Pierre. Nous avons appris que le Blue Penny est un timbre paru en quatre exemplaires dans le monde et que celui-ci a une valeur de plusieurs millions d'euros: incroyable!
Le midi nous avons mangé et fait des amplettes au Caudan, pour finir la journée par un circuit photos dans Port Louis afin de repérer les lieux et les monuments importants. Afin de ne pas nous perdre, nous pouvions demander notre chemin en anglais! C'était amusant et nous sommes bien fatigués.
Today, we spent the day in Port Louis. First, we visited the Blue Penny Museum to learn about the history of Mauritius and t the story of Paul et Virginie, Bernardin de Saint Pierre's famous characters. We also found out that the Blue Penny is a stamp. There are only four copies of this stamp in the world, that is why it is a few million worth: amazing story!!
At noon we ate and did some shopping at the Caudan and finally, in the afternoon, we had a photo tour in Port Louis. The aim was to find the important places and monuments and take pictures. We could ask our way in English if we felt lost. It was fun and tiring.
